What this means for your email list
Is a free-provider address a problem?
Addresses at ymail.com are legitimate and deliverable in general. What goes wrong is the mailbox part before the @: typos, old accounts and abandoned inboxes. That is what per-address verification catches.
Sender authentication
ymail.com has a strict DMARC policy (reject): mail that fails authentication is refused, which protects its brand from spoofing and means anyone sending as ymail.com must have SPF and DKIM set up correctly.
