What this means for your email list
Is a free-provider address a problem?
No: plenty of genuine customers use yahoo.co.nz. For business-to-business sales a free address can mean a personal contact instead of a work one, so segment these separately if that matters to you. The address itself still needs checking for typos and dead mailboxes.
Sender authentication
yahoo.co.nz has a strict DMARC policy (reject): mail that fails authentication is refused, which protects its brand from spoofing and means anyone sending as yahoo.co.nz must have SPF and DKIM set up correctly.
