What this means for your email list
Is a free-provider address a problem?
No: plenty of genuine customers use telus.net. For business-to-business sales a free address can mean a personal contact instead of a work one, so segment these separately if that matters to you. The address itself still needs checking for typos and dead mailboxes.
Sender authentication
telus.net has DMARC in monitoring mode (p=none). It collects reports but does not yet block spoofed mail, so the domain is easier to impersonate.
