What this means for your email list
What this means for addresses at this domain
sdsu.edu looks like an organisation's own domain. Those are usually good leads, and also where bounces come from: people change jobs and mailboxes get closed. Checking each address, including whether the server accepts any recipient, avoids damaging your sender reputation.
Sender authentication
sdsu.edu has DMARC in monitoring mode (p=none). It collects reports but does not yet block spoofed mail, so the domain is easier to impersonate.
