What this means for your email list
What this means for addresses at this domain
The domain accepts mail, but whether a given person's mailbox exists depends on that organisation. Company domains often have staff who left, role mailboxes like info@ and sales@, and sometimes catch-all rules that accept everything. Verify the individual address before you send.
Sender authentication
ru.ac.za has a strict DMARC policy (reject): mail that fails authentication is refused, which protects its brand from spoofing and means anyone sending as ru.ac.za must have SPF and DKIM set up correctly.
