What this means for your email list
Is a free-provider address a problem?
Not by itself. cogeco.ca is a normal mailbox provider used by real people, and mail to it is delivered reliably. The thing to watch is whether the specific mailbox exists, which a domain check cannot tell you, so verify each address.
Sender authentication
cogeco.ca has a strict DMARC policy (reject): mail that fails authentication is refused, which protects its brand from spoofing and means anyone sending as cogeco.ca must have SPF and DKIM set up correctly.
